O que significa
A reversal pattern where price hits the same high twice and then falls. It looks like an "M" and hints that the up trend has run out of buyers.
Exemplo
A stock peaks at $100, pulls back to $92, rallies back to $100, and fails. Two failed attempts at $100 form a double top, hinting a down move may follow.
Erro comum de iniciantes
Beginners short the second top before confirmation. The pattern is only complete when price breaks below the $92 "valley" between the tops -- shorting early gets you squeezed.
