Scalping
Strategies
Qué significa
A style where you hold trades for seconds to minutes, aiming to capture many tiny profits from small price moves. High frequency, small per-trade edge.
Ejemplo
A scalper buys 1,000 SPY shares at $450.00 and sells at $450.05 ninety seconds later, profiting $50. They may do this 30 times a day, targeting $500-$1,000 total.
Error común de principiantes
Beginners try scalping without accounting for the spread and commissions. A $0.02 profit on 1,000 shares is $20, but a $0.01 spread plus $5 commission leaves you with $5 -- or a loss.
