Wallet
Basics
What it means
A tool (software or hardware) that stores your cryptocurrency private keys, allowing you to send, receive, and manage your digital assets. Wallets don't actually store your crypto — they store the keys needed to access it on the blockchain.
Example
A software wallet like MetaMask runs in your browser, while a hardware wallet like Ledger stores your keys offline for maximum security.
Mistake beginners make
Beginners think "wallet crypto is like bank money". If you lose your wallet's seed phrase or private key, your crypto is gone forever. No one can recover it, not even the wallet provider.
